Closing a Travel Authorization
To close a Travel Authorization:
1. Open the Travel Authorization document.
If
the Travel Authorization has been amended, then you would open the Travel
Authorization Amendment whose status is Open for Reimbursement.”
2. Click the
button. The system displays the message, “When you close this Travel Authorization,
remaining encumbrance will be liquidated”.
3. To accept the
message, click 
. The system
displays the Travel Authorization Close document.
The
Travel Authorization Close document Status is Final, the TAC Status is Closed. The Notes and
Attachments tab includes the note, “This Travel Authorization was
closed by [your name]” in addition to any other notes from related TA and TAA.
If
Travel Authorization/Travel Authorization Amendment status becomes Retired
Version and this warning displays in the upper left corner: “Warning: This is
not the current version of this Travel Authorization”. The Notes and
Attachments tab includes the note, “This Travel Authorization was
closed by [your name]” in addition to any other notes from related TA and TAA.
