The Program/Initiative code field is designed to track programs and initiatives across multiple accounts and multiple organizations in the university. The Program/Initiative code is a field available to define on the Account maintenance document. It can serve as a data flag that would aggregate data at the account level for reporting purposes.

Document Layout

The Program Initiative Code document contains the Edit Program Initiative Code tab.  In the edit mode, the system automatically enters data into both the Old and New sections. Selected data fields are available for editing.

Edit Program Initiative tab definition

Title	Description
Program/Initiative Code	Required. A field that can be alphanumeric and up to 8 characters in length
Program/Initiative Name	Required.  A field that can be any character and up to 40 characters in length.
Program/Initiative Principal Name	Required.  A valid, active system user, alphanumeric, up to 8 characters in length
Chart Code	Required.  A valid, existing table value, can be alpha, 2 characters in length.
Organization Code	Required.  A valid, existing table value, can be alphanumeric, 10 characters in length.
Program/Initiative Description	Required. a required field that can be any character and up to 400 characters in length
Active Indicator	Indicates whether this Program Initiative code is active or inactive. Remove the check mark to deactivate Program/initiative Code.
