Permanently Restricted Endowment

Term. If a KEMID has a permanent principal restriction (that is, the KEMID has a type restriction code for which the Permanent Indicator is ‘Yes’), then the KEMID is a true or permanently restricted endowment. A true endowment or permanently restricted endowment is one in which the principal funds cannot be expended.
