The KFS Fiscal Year Maker process is responsible for preparing an institution's Chart of Accounts for the advent of a new fiscal year. It does so by copying over many critical chart tables and updating the rows in those tables with values applicable to the upcoming fiscal year.
After your institution has defined report definitions manually, you will likely want to rely on Fiscal Year Maker to automatically prepare your values for the next fiscal year. Fiscal Year Maker does the following:
• Sets the value of University Fiscal Year, Report Begin Fiscal Year, Report End Fiscal Year and Expense Transfer Fiscal Year to the year after the current row value.
• Sets the Report Status Code to 'N.
• Sets Report Return Date to blank.
